Elizabeth Michaels of Duncan U. Fletcher High School in Jacksonville, FL, has been named the National Dual Enrollment Aviation Teacher of the Year for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU). Michaels has taught aviation and engineering courses through ERAU since 2019, assisting students in pursuing aviation careers and earning scholarships. She was also presented with a Superintendent’s Coin of Excellence at a recent Duval County Public Schools board meeting.
