**Double Homicide Suspect Scott Mitchell Arrested in Daytona Beach**

**Binghamton, NY** – On February 12, 2025, at approximately 2:00 P.M., authorities in Volusia County, Florida, arrested Scott Mitchell, a suspect in a double homicide case. An alert citizen in Daytona Beach reported Mitchell's location to local authorities, leading to his apprehension by the Volusia County Sheriff's Department.

The arrest follows a collaborative investigation involving the Binghamton, NY Police Department, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina. In an official statement, Binghamton Police Chief Joseph T. Zikuski expressed his gratitude to both agencies for their assistance in the investigation, commending their professionalism and dedication.
