Plan Vacations Around Volusia County School Breaks

Volusia County Schools has released the schedule for student holidays and breaks for the 2024-2025 academic year. Parents are encouraged to prioritize their child's attendance and consider scheduling family vacations around these designated breaks.

The holidays are as follows:

- **Teacher Duty Day:** Monday, October 14

- **Veterans Day:** Monday, November 11

- **MLK Day:** Monday, January 20

- **President’s Day:** Monday, February 17

- **Teacher Duty Day:** Friday, March 14

- **Memorial Day:** Monday, May 26

The Thanksgiving Break is scheduled from Monday, November 25 to Friday, November 29, with classes resuming on Monday, December 2. November 25 and 26 may also serve as makeup days if inclement weather affects school operations.

Winter Break will take place from Monday, December 23 to Monday, January 6, with classes resuming on Tuesday, January 7. Note that January 6 is designated as another Teacher Duty Day.

Spring Break is planned for Monday, March 17 to Friday, March 21, with students returning to class on Monday, March 24.

The last day of school for students is Wednesday, May 28.

Parents are reminded that regular attendance is crucial for student growth, and the school district appreciates their cooperation in planning vacations that align with the academic calendar.
