Volusia County Beaches Clear to Reopen, Caution Advised

Staff Report / Daytonalocal.org

Volusia County Beaches have announced that beach driving ramps, showers, restrooms, and coastal parks have been cleared to reopen after a detailed assessment showed no damage and minimal erosion. Despite this positive news, beachgoers are advised to exercise caution as the Volusia County Beach Safety team is flying a red flag, indicating that hazardous rip current conditions are expected to persist throughout the weekend.

To stay informed about real-time updates, including open beach ramps, lifeguard tower locations, and weather conditions, the Volusia Beaches app is recommended for use. Residents and visitors are also encouraged to follow Volusia County on social media, subscribe to the County newsletter, and visit www.volusia.org for the latest information.
