Evacuation Notice for Daytona Beach Residents Issued

Staff Report / Daytonalocal.org

The City of Daytona Beach has issued an important evacuation notice, particularly for residents located in evacuation zones. The order now includes areas east of Ridgewood Avenue in Daytona Beach and in Holly Hill. Officials emphasize the importance of following state and local warnings to ensure the safety of all residents.

Residents who are required to evacuate are advised to follow specific preparations. First, individuals should know their destination, which could be the home of family or friends, a hotel or motel, or a public shelter. It is recommended to have a map that shows two routes to reach the chosen destination.

Communication is essential during this time; residents should inform family, friends, and caregivers about their location. Additionally, securing homes and properties is advised before leaving. It is crucial to take along emergency supplies and to not delay the evacuation process.

For more information, residents can refer to the City of Daytona Beach Government's official communications.
