**Volusia County Schools Launch Winter Reading Challenge**
Volusia County Schools will host the Superintendent's Winter Reading Challenge from November 23, 2024, to January 6, 2025. Superintendent Dr. Balgobin is encouraging all students to read during Thanksgiving and winter breaks.
Students can earn prizes based on the number of minutes they read:
- Reading 600 or more minutes will earn a 90-minute jump pass at Sky Zone (jump socks not included).
- Reading between 400 and 599 minutes will earn a 1-hour unlimited play Arcade Card from Family Fun Town.
To participate, students must log their reading minutes using Beanstack. To qualify for prizes, students must record their minutes without having more than one flagged entry. Each student can only earn one prize.
The challenge is supported by sponsors Sky Zone and Family Fun Town.
