Idaho Weather Service Highlights Diverse Staff Backgrounds
The National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho, announced that its staff members come from a wide range of colleges and military branches from across the country. The office highlighted educational backgrounds, noting that two employees are alumni of the University of Oklahoma and the University of Utah. Additional staff attended Lyndon State College, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Iowa State University, Millersville University, SUNY Oswego, Plymouth State University, Florida State University, Texas Tech, the University of Nebraska, Boise State University, San Jose State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Metropolitan State University of Denver.
The announcement also listed three military-affiliated backgrounds, with one employee from the Boise Marines and one each from the Air Force bases in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Vermont. The information was provided as a visual representation of the staff’s educational and military origins.
